Palak- a man with a dream, a hardworking state minister

He is no stranger to today's young society. He has already been known as a great hardworking person. In fact, he is equally popular both in actual and virtual media. A patriotic man carrying the ideals of Bangabandhu. In personal life, he is equally easy-going to his loving mother, beloved wife and children. He is not lagging behind in political manners, respect, love for music and cultural personalities as well as in religious values.

All in all, perhaps as a gift of destiny, he is the youngest Member of Parliament; and a state minister. In fact, I met Zunaid Ahmed Palak bhai only after that. After taking charge as the Minister of State for Information and Communication Technology Division, he conducted his first program outside his office on our invitation at BASIS office.

He has never separated the public and private sectors in implementing the government's vision to build a digital Bangladesh but has moved forward with BASIS and other industry stakeholders at every step.

He is a hardworking man; he works late into the night and wakes up early in the morning. In a private conversation with me, Sajeeb Wazed Jai Bhai asked, “Does Palak never sleep? He talks to me in the middle of the night, messages me in the early hours of the morning, replies, and works all day”.

Palak Bhai's interest in knowing and learning about any new technology or policy is solid. If you don't know something, show interest in learning without hiding it and learn quickly.

He never plans or works only in Dhaka, Rajshahi or his own parliamentary area Singra, but works tirelessly to plan and implement socio-economic development through information technology in all districts, Upazilas and unions of the country.

He does not discriminate between senior-junior, rich-poor, educated-uneducated, successful-unsuccessful; but tries to give everyone the respect they deserve and talk to everyone with a smile. He likes to answer every criticism that comes about him through his work. And because of these qualities, I have seen even his staunchest critics become his admirers.

This is the birthday today of the man!

Happy birthday brother Palak! May the youth be inspired by you, come forward for the welfare of the country. Let the country move forward, let Bangladesh become a role model in the heart of the world, let the dream of Smart Bangladesh be realized.
